3 color palettes for romantic 4th of July weddings

Independence day weddings are not very common, but when a couples plans their nuptials for the most American of all holidays, fireworks are sure to fly! Patriotism never looked so classy with these three romantic 4th of July wedding themes:

A classy, chic Independence Day wedding doesn’t have to rely on the basic red, white and blue palette. Instead, go with a lighter chambray blue and a muted, coral-y red and infuse the palette with soft shades of pink. We drew this palette inspiration from a vintage Lady Liberty poster, and we’re really digging how this bride reflected a similar palette in her 4th of July wedding bridesmaids’ bouquets with perfect pink dahlias.

True Americana
If you want to go all-out Americana, we really love the idea of using bright red poppies in your bouquet and choosing satin bridesmaids dresses in a true blue color. If you don’t care to be traditional, consider wearing sassy red heels and a short vintage dress to show them off. An Americana-themed wedding also lends itself to a vintage vibe.

Updated vibe
Another option is to keep your red bright, sassy and traditional but update the Americana palette to include dark turquoise details, such as red-sashed, turquoise bridesmaids dresses. You could also opt for red bridesmaid dresses and turquoise menswear.

The reception
Any Independence Day wedding would not be complete without the coordinating, personalized details to match. One look we like is to keep your flowers neutral – like white, cream or light pink roses or dahlias as table settings – and add a punch of color with your table numbers. You can completely customize the table numbers and place cards to fit your palette, whether you’re using muted red and chambray, classic Americana colors or dark turquoise and bright red.

A cute favor idea we really love is sending guests home with a traditional red, white and blue box of cracker jacks, tied with custom gift tags to match your theme, or personalized matchbooks that you can design yourself. To top off the night and celebrate in true Independence Day style, have a sparkler send off: Provide each guest with a sparkler (or two!) in customized sparkler sleeves, and when the sun goes down, head outside to let sparks fly. This is also an opportunity for an awesome photo opp!
