For the MOH: Plan a classy bachelorette garden party
If heading out in a limo to a bumping club doesn’t sound like your bride-to-be’s style, consider throwing her a classy outdoor garden party instead, complete with girly drinks, flowers and a fancy catered meal.
The setup and supplies
If someone you know has a lovely, well-landscaped outdoor space with abundant flowers and outdoor lighting, set up an airy white party tent and host your garden soiree there. If not, country clubs or other outdoor event spaces will work nicely, depending upon the size of your guest list.
Get creative with your colors – they don’t have to match the bride’s wedding palette; in fact, she might really want to switch it up with fresh colors. We like pretty pastels for summer. Cover your tables in white linen cloths and order vintage pastel bud vases on a site like Etsy. Fill the vases with a few of your favorite flowers (we like white poppies!) and encourage guests to take them home as party favors.
Cater a light summer meal for your guests, but don’t forget the cupcakes – with pastel icing to match, of course! Also, pre-mix a few party punches and serve them with cute striped party straws with custom straw tags and stir sticks to push your party over the edge of fabulousness and match with your garden soiree theme. Remember to order some personalized napkins and send guests off with personalized goodie bags (in addition to those charming pastel bud vases).
The best part about an elegant summer soiree is that without the raucous club music, the bride-to-be can really be in the moment and enjoy her last time as a single lady. Martha Stewart Weddings has a great list of classy party games and activities that you can use for bachelorette party inspiration.
