Host a pink themed party for the women warriors in your life

With 1 in 8 women being diagnosed with breast cancer each year, chances are that you know someone who is either currently battling the disease or has survived her struggle with cancer. As Breast Cancer Awareness Month approaches, what better way to show your loved one how much she means to you than with a party to support her?

Honor a loved one
A pink party will be a fun way for you and your guests to embrace your feminine sides and show your loved one that you support her in her battle with cancer and that everyone in attendance stands with her. Get your guests excited with these cute heart ribbon products to decorate.

Girly drinks and treats
Serve sweet treats such as cupcakes or cookies that are frosted pink. If the ladies at your party, especially the girl of the hour, tend to be the sassier types – think along the lines of breast themed treats, like a cupcake that is decorated to look like a breast. For a more conservative group, you may want to stick with breast cancer ribbon cookies or at least decorate the cupcake breasts with polka dotted bikini tops!

Show your support
Undergoing chemotherapy and radiation takes a huge emotional and physical toll on a woman. Be sure to allow for friends and family to offer their help to your loved one with breast cancer since the party is in her honor. Decorate an “I’m here for you” box with custom satin ribbons and pink or silver wrapping paper. Place a notepad and pens next to it so that people can write down ways they are available to support the honored guest. Support can can include driving her to and from chemotherapy treatments, helping to pick up kids from school, taking her on morale-boosting shopping trips or offering a shoulder to cry on when the going gets tough.
